Would this decrease the amount of steps I have to take on pokemon diamond?

I have pokemon diamond for the ds and I have been playing it for a while now. I beat the elite four and got the pokeradar and the national pokedex. I have been breading a male glaceon (eevee) with a ditto to get eevee's. It takes alot, and I mean ALOT, of steps to get the eevee eggto hatch (I'm not exactly sure how many, but i know from experience that it's alot). I caught a magcargo with magma armor and I carry it around with the eevee eggs. It decreases tge amount of steps, but it still takes alot of steps. If I had two pokemon, one with magma armor and one with flame body, would it decrease the amount of steps I have to take even more because I would have both? Thanks! ^-^
