I need help on metal gear solid portable ops lpus on psp?

well i just got metal gear solid portable ops plus for psp and i'm on medium, i'm on stage 9, i need to jump on a big box but i don't know how i know that triangle is action and jumps on ledges and stuff but it wont let me jump on the big box, plz help!
