(PLEASE ANSWER).......Should baseball have a limit for how many times...?
There is a limit to how many times a manager (or pitching coach) can visit the mound: 2. The second time the pitcher must come out of the game. The only exception is if the visit is for medical reasons in which case the home plate umpire must be notified of the medical visit. The trainer will then accompany the manager (or pitching coach) to the mound. The home plate umpire will go to the mound as well to ensure that no strategy is discussed. If strategy is discussed the medical visit is waved off, the trainer is sent to the dugout, and the visit counts as one of the two allowable official visits.
