How do I hook up a heat choke on a quadrajet?

I have an 84 chevy pickup that originally had an electric choke. That carburetor was damaged while removing and rebuilding the engine. I recently picked up a rebuilt Q-jet for a very reasonable deal, however, it has the heat choke. How can i hook this up on my pickup, or would i be better off switching the chokes and if so is it hard? I have a lot of mechanical experience but it's all with fuel injection and not much with carburetion.
