Gay man wanting to donate blood/marrow?

I'm a gay student in the US and the exact same thing happened to me when I tried to donate blood at a school fundraiser. Most systems collect info on everyone who gives or tries to give, so I'm sure it'll be hard to donate once you're on file. Personally, I wouldn't lie bEcause they do this screening for a reason: ro keep diseases from being spread. But in reality, women can be carriers of HIV or AIDS, also. Do whatever your moral conscience tells you, but remember the reason why they do what they do.
